After seeing an impressive Wrestlemania and seeing the streak come to an end, none of us were expecting the untimely passing of the Ultimate Warrior, It has been rough week for us Wrestling fans.
After attending Wrestlemania 28 in Miami and I currently have plans to attend Wrestlemania 31 in Silicon Valley, I have come to expect nothing but the best from wrestling’s biggest night. My predictions were spot on minus a few matches. Time to analyze what we just witnessed and mourn Ultimate Warrior.
Randy Orton Vs. Batista vs TBD Triple Threat Match for the World Heavyweight Championship and Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H Singles match for the third spot in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Triple Threat Match
My Prediction: Bryan wins it all
Winner: Daniel Bryan
So this is Daniel Bryan’s year and I knew it all along. The first match between Triple H was pretty tough but great. It had me at the edge of my seat. Triple H is a great wrestler but to see Daniel Bryan kick his ass after a year of torment, this is rewarding. Fighting with a shoulder injury he overcame and beat the Game.
The Triple Threat Match Main Event, was sealed the deal for Wrestlemania XXX. Batista and Orton were on their games tonight with Bryan lagging having already been tired from fighting earlier in the night. I was extremely worried when Batista fired his Batista Bomb and Orton performing his finisher while Bryan flew through the tables. Bryan wasn’t moving and I was worried he was done for the night. To see Orton and Batista go at it, it just didn’t seem right. When they wheeled Bryan out I felt so disappointed by how this mania was gonna end. My faith was renewed when Bryan got off the stretcher and ran to the ring. He secured his spot in WWE history and got his Wrestlemania moment.
The Undertaker Vs. Brock Lesnar
My Prediction: Undertaker
Winner : Brock Lesner
RIP Undertaker… This is not what we were expecting. On my last post I had predicted that Taker was going to win but I also said Lesner was capable of anything. I knew from previous Manias that Undertakers time was ticking. When it was announced Brock Lesner would go up against him I was slightly worried if the end was near. Who could end the streak with such dominance and strength. If Triple H couldn’t do it, it had to be someone stronger, and we all knew CM Punk was just not capable last year. So Brock being the powerhouse that he is dominated the match and etched Takers name in coffin #22. There was silence after the bell rang, like no one wanted to believe it, like the wind was knocked out of us. It truly is the end of an era and it was sad to see it end that way but we must ask, was Brock worthy of ending the streak? I have heard two very different answers. 1. Yes. He had the force the capability to end the streak because of his body, his technique. The problem is he’s not on the permanent roster. In fact he’s trying to negotiate a deal with UFC. So chances are we wont see Brock for a long time. The other side I have heard is “Why not launch a career with a rookie ending the streak?” Some like Roman Reigns, or Brey Wyatt would have been a better choice than Brock. True but what if a Rookie dosent stick around for 20 years? Im not sure. We will have to see how this develops. I am sad this is the end of an era. Thank You Undertaker.
If anything we all feel like this guy ^
John Cena Vs. Bray Wyatt
My Prediction: John Cena
Winner: John Cena
This was a mediocre match. I mean really, John Cena scared of Brey Wyatt. Im glad he’s stepping aside to help make way for Daniel Bryan and others so this was such a mid level match, I expected more. Such a disapointment. As a Cena fan I want to see Cena challengedd, The Wyatts are not a challenge. Better luck next year!
AJ Lee vs Naomi vs Cameron vs Brie Bella vs Nikki Bella vs Natalya vs Eva Marie vs Emma vs Aksana vs Alicia Fox vs Summer Rae vs Rosa Mendes vs Layla vs Tamina Snuka a 14 Diva Single Fall “Vickie Guerrero Invitational” match for the WWE Divas Championship
My Prediction: Natalya
Winner: AJ Lee
I had such high hopes for this match. I really wanted to see a new champion crowned on Wrestling’s biggest night. I was really hoping Naomi would break out of AJ’s Black Widow submission hold but to my displeasure AJ Lee retained. However, AJ Lost his title in such a cheap way to NXT Diva Paige the following night was not believable. I mean Paige just tripped AJ for a 3-count. I was glad AJ has been dethroned, however, I wish it had been to a Diva on the current roster and not a newbie were not use to seeing. I know if I was a Diva on the roster I would be pissed if i worked my ass off for several years and not get the title. I mean there are several Divas on that roster who have not gotten the opportunity to be champion. After reading other blogs as to why Paige was put on the pedestal, it just seems like WWE is putting all their eggs in Paige’s basket to elevate the Divas Division which is pretty damn risky. I am disappointed.
The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns) vs. Kane and The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) Six Man Tag Team Match
My Prediction: The Shield
The Winner: The Shield
Not much of a contest here. I know the New Age Outlaws were here because of Triple H but come on, these guys were great in their hay day but now against the Shield, very disappointing match-up. I would have loved to have seen the Shield be challenged by someone who had a little more power.
The Usos (Jimmy and Jey Uso) vs. The Real Americans (Cesaro and Jack Swagger) vs Ryback and Curtis Axel vs. Los Matadores (Diego and Fernando)
My Prediction: The Usos
My Predicion: The Usos
Unless you were at Wrestlemania live you saw this match, since us at home didn’t but got notification about it via WWE or Bleacher Report the USOs retained their title.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal 30-man battle royal for the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy
My Prediction: Sheamus
Who saw this coming?! I was really pulling for Sheamus to win this but as soon as the bodies started flying out and Kofi landing on the mat but his feet were still on the steps was great. The numbers started Dwindeling and I saw Big Show kicking ass left to right I started to think, how great it would be if he won the trophy a Giant winning the giant trophy, so after Sheamus got eliminated I was favoring the Big Show but who would of thought Cesaro would win this bout. Kudos to Cesaro his star is about to rise!
Wrestlemania Epic or Epic Fail
My Prediction: Epic Fail
After seeing the Raw after Wrestlemania, it just got us hyped for the things to come. Seeing Ultimate Warrior in a ring again was awesome. His message to the fans was warming and true. The night just made you feel proud to be a wrestling fan. Nothing could have prepared anyone for the news we got either via text or the internet of the Ultimate Warriors passing the following night. I thought it was a hoax, TMZ and other outlets started reporting on the news and i think all of our hearts broke. Then we have dumb ass extreamist reporters like Nancy Grace start saying that steroids killed the Warrior, she even went as far as listing people who have died young. She showed her stupidity by listing Owen Hart died from steroid, No he fell from freak accident and died. Since the aring of Nancy Grace’s show #CancelNancyGrace started trending. I have never been a fan of this crazy kook but come on have some respect. I feel like the whole wrestling world is mourning no need to rub salt on that wound. Warrior, thank you for everything. You are a true legend!
“Every man’s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe a final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others, and makes them bleed deeper, and something larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized. By the storytellers, by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him and make the running the man did live forever.”-Warrior.
We love you #ripwarrior
